On the 24th of June, 2018, I stepped on board a tall ship in Svalbard and sailed for 10 days on the treacherous and sometimes uncharted sea with a group of young scientists, artists, activists and sailors to research and document the extent of the plastic crisis in the Arctic. This is one of the remotest and wildest places on earth.
